Berona Xxtra is an attractive, smooth, flat, square-edged slate that is manufactured to the highest European standards. Berona Xxtra slates are durable and are an economical alternative to natural roofing materials. They are lightweight, pre-holed and easy to handle and install.
Berona Xxtra slates are produced in accordance with ISO-9001 (Quality Management System), ISO-14001 (Environmental Management System) and carry the Environmental Protection Declaration EPD-CEM-2012211.
Berona Xxtra slates are manufactured using Portland cement together with a non-asbestos formulation of superior blended synthetic and cellulose fibres. The slates are pigmented during production and are fully compressed. Berona Xxtra slates conform to class B in strength, the highest classification for fibre cement slates which are manufactured in accordance with European Norm EN429 – the European Standard for the manufacture of fibre cement slate. They are finished with a high-quality semi-matt acrylic coating to the top face and edges, with a tinted high-performance binder applied to the back face.
Berona Xxtra slates carry a 20-year colour and 30-year structural warranty when fixed in accordance with the latest versions of SR 82 Irish Code of Practice for slating and tiling and BS5534

Fix each Cembrit slate with two 2.65mm x 30mm long copper nails and secure the tail of the slate with a copper disc rivet of suitable quality correctly bent downslope through 90°
